Observatory

 

These are musical/scientific instruments for observing things in inner and outer space, for listening to the needs of the nation, the heartbeat of the world, and the music of the spheres. Like orbiting satellite dishes, probes on the Mars Rover, ancient ear horns, cheerleader megaphones, or Tibetan dung-chen prayer horns, these speaker and listening devices are transmitters and receivers of information, especially of the mystical, invisible, or whispered kind. Observatory will be seen at Socrates Sculpture Park in New York in the spring of 2007, with seven or more 14 to 20' sculptures like these hidden in the trees.
